Die Speicherung der Welt durch Google hat gestern eine neue Stufe erreicht: Google Street View. In einigen US-Städten (bisher New York, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Denver und Miami) kann man jetzt beim amerikanischen Google Maps (http://maps.google.com/maps) ein Männchen auf die Straße setzen und sieht dann ein Foto mit dem, was die Figur sehen würde. Man kann die Blickrichtung in 8 Richtungen drehen und sich ca. im 10-Meter-Abstand weiterbewegen und auch ganz gut Zoomen. Hier mal San Fransisco in Google Earth (inkl. einiger 3D-Gebäude):

Geilomat. Fragt sich nur wie lange Google braucht, um alle Straßen der Welt abzufahren.
